Terms & Conditions

Please read the following information regarding privacy, security, terms and conditions as they govern your access to and use of this site. By accessing, viewing and using the NSF website, you agree to abide by these policies, terms and conditions.

Confidentiality Statement

NSF undertakes to protect the privacy of each of our members and clients and the confidentiality of their business information. To this end NSF shall refuse to disclose information to any person other than the individual to whom the information relates where disclosure would constitute an unjustified invasion of the privacy of that individual or business. All employees and contractors of NSF must respect the confidential nature of the information which they acquire in the course of their work.

Privacy Statement

NSF privacy provisions are based on the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).  It sets out the ground rules for how private-sector organizations collect, use or disclose personal information in the course of commercial activities across Canada.

Email Marketing

NSF’s usage of email addresses is for the express purpose of member and client information sharing. This applies to email addresses obtained through various website monitoring techniques such as “clickstream.” NSF does not release or sell any obtained email addresses and does not use these addresses for the transmission of third-party marketing.

Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL) came into effect July 1, 2014. It is in place to protect Canadians while ensuring that businesses can continue to compete in the global marketplace. NSF is in full compliance with the legislation as commercial electronic messages (CEMs) are sent and has adopted an ‘opt-in’ policy and procedure. Specific questions regarding our policy can be directed to nsfcanada@nsf.org.
